Well, here's the new design. Hope you all like it :)

I'll be tweaking bits of it for the next few days - yes, I know there are little white lines on hide's outline. I'll fix it eventually :)

The only pages from my old diary that remain now are the links, rings and cast list pages. Some of those have been edited too.

And now, something from the old diary that I feel is still relevant. Don't break the rules :)

Etiquette for Readers of Online Diaries, by Teri Vlassopoulos

1. Never assume that you know everything about the writer of the diary/journal/website, no matter how personal their tone might be. Online diarists are notorious for embellishments, white lies and excessive romanticization of events but, almost paradoxically, they tend to excel at vagueness.

2. Don't bug the writer for more details about personal events, unless you have the kind of relationship that allows for such intrusions. If the writer really wants you to know about it, it'll come out eventually.

3. If you like the site and there's a guestbook, sign it at least once. You can also sign it if you don't like it but try not to be too mean about it, okay?

4. If you feel strongly about what the writer has written, send her/him an email about it, especially if you have your own thoughts to add. Those kinds of emails are very much appreciated.

5. If you know the writer in real life and feel uncomfortable with the thought of her/him writing about you, let her/him know right away instead of possibly straining the relationship.

6. If you know the writer in real life, and he/she is unaware of the fact that you read their journal, let them know. This way you can avoid her/him repeating stories and anecdotes that have already been mentioned on the site.

7. That being said, sometimes it's more interesting to hear a verbal version of an event that has been transcribed online, so possibly ask about it. On the same note, if you know the writer in real life, and the writer knows that you read the site, it would be nice if you occasionally commented on it. If, however, the writer gets visibly uncomfortable at the mention of the site, it might be a better idea to stay quiet about it. In short, play it by ear.

8. If you are an ex-significant other or ex-friend of the writer, refrain from reading the site. It's just not fair that you can get updates on their life even after the relationship has ceased to exist.
